About us

Sur was established in 1992 with an initial capital of Birr 108 million as a General Contractor-grade1 (GC1). Since its establishment, SUR has accomplished over 21 road projects (with overall length of about 1100 km) and over 35 various building projects as well as airfield and hydropower projects. The total worth of the accomplished projects to date is over Birr 1.8 billion.

SUR has acquired vast experience in asphalt & gravel roads,airfields,building and hydropower projects.

SUR has above 1,700 permanent and 15,000 temporary employees. Moreover, SUR is also the owner of more than 700 heavy & light duty construction machinery and plants.

SUR has its six story head office building in Addis Ababa and a modern workshop and training center at branch office in Mekelle.

Currently, SUR is executing 17 projects all over the country worth of over Birr 2.2 billion and has achieved to an annual turnover of more than Birr 350 Million.
